The choice in the CA-11 congressional race is one of the most consequential choices San Francisco voters will make in a generation.

San Francisco has become a testing ground for a billionaire-backed vision that places profits, surveillance, militarization, deregulation, and punishment above people. Billionaire-backed organizations like GrowSF, AI-funded super PACs like Public First, and powerful pro-Trump tech figures like Garry Tan and Chris Larsen have poured enormous resources into political and technological systems that make communities more surveilled, more precarious, and less able to determine their own futures. They also have something else in common: they are backing Scott Wiener for Congress.

Supervisor Connie Chan offers a fundamentally different vision. Throughout her campaign and her public service, Chan has centered working-class and immigrant communities rather than the billionaires and corporations seeking greater control over our city and our politics. She supports ending warrantless surveillance, protecting free speech and the right to protest, confronting the unchecked expansion of data centers, and imposing a full and unequivocal arms embargo on Israel amid its genocide of Palestinians.
