Stop Trump's Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza

Trump has laid out a plan for the permanent dispossession and occupation of Gaza. With every passing day, he brings this colonial land grab closer to fruition, and prospects of a continued ceasefire grow ever smaller. This is ethnic cleansing and it must be resisted and prevented at every level. Please contact your members of Congress to demand they take action to keep Palestine for Palestinians.

I urge you to publicly denounce and take action against Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu's open call for the complete ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip. They have casually insisted that 2 million Palestinians would be removed from their homes and resettled in neighboring countries against their will. Trump called Gaza “unlivable” while completely disregarding the voice and aspirations of the Palestinian people. Both Trump and Netanyahu openly admitted that they would be blocking needed reconstruction aid until their mass displacement aims were met. Palestinians have no intention of leaving their homeland, and neighboring countries have no intention of facilitating their forced displacement.

If these egregious and criminal statements were not enough, Trump also claimed that the United States would “take over” and “own” Gaza to turn it into a “global destination.” As my representative, and as a self-proclaimed defender of democratic institutions, what will you do to denounce and resist this? This rhetoric is dangerous, racist, illegal, and unacceptable.

Trump’s proposal is an unprecedented display of intent to commit a crime against humanity. These comments also bode poorly for the future of the fragile ceasefire, which must be bolstered and protected to ensure regional security and prevent the further loss of life. The violence must end, the ceasefire must be made permanent, and Palestinians deserve the chance to rebuild their homeland. How will you prioritize this in the coming weeks?
